When is the Hochsteinbaude open?
Wednesday to Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm, in winter until 5 pm – or by arrangement. Closed on Monday and Tuesday. The kiosk opens on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from May to October in fine weather. The inn is open on public holidays – on Mondays and Tuesdays too.

Open on public holidays
We are open on every German public holiday – even when it falls on a Monday or Tuesday, the days we are normally closed. The usual hours apply. From May to October the kiosk opens on those days too, in fine weather.

When we close for our annual break, for a family celebration at the inn or because of a power or water cut, we mark the day in the calendar. What it says there takes precedence – it is worth a look before you set off on your walk.
